Central North Oxford
  • Close to Central University Buildings

  • Within Walking Distance of the City Centre

Central North Oxford is much favoured with the Academic community because of its proximity to the University of Oxford Science Area and most of the colleges. Legend has it that the area was originally developed for the Dons of the University once they were allowed to marry.

Four of Oxford University's former women's colleges, Lady Margaret Hall, St Anne's, St Hugh's and Somerville (at the southern extreme) are located in North Oxford. There are also three graduate colleges, Green College, St Antony's, both off the Woodstock Road, and to the east Wolfson, on the River Cherwell.

It also boasts many ‘green areas' including the famous University Parks and also Port Meadow with the River Thames and Oxford Canal meandering through.  A mixture of old and new and houses can be found here to suit many tastes and both high and low budget levels.
